Sharing Who You Are Matters
One of the hardest things in business is knowing how to talk about yourself in a way that connects with others. The secret? It all starts with sharing why you do what you do.
I’m Diane Pauley, and this is a look at my brand story
I became a coach in 2013 and started my first business. At the time, I knew how to be a coach and create a safe space for others, but business? I didn’t know how to run one until I learned how, and that took time. So, for a while, I struggled with my messaging and saying what I did.
Having been a lifelong writer, the way that I connected with others was by sharing my words, and even though I was figuring out my brand identity as a coach, my words were resonating because I was bringing people on a brand journey with me.
Long story short…other coaches started to ask me to write for them, and I started copywriting for others in my space.
As the years went on, my messaging improved, and I carved out a niche for myself, but I couldn’t stop asking myself,
“Am I a coach or a copywriter?”
That’s when I knew it was time to solidify my brand identity.
I learned how to position my brand so I could have a strong foundation to build from. Today, I’m proud to say I’m a brand storyteller and coach because it’s how I do what I do. I create safe spaces for clients to feel comfortable sharing their stories with me, so we can craft powerful narratives they can share with their audiences. Stories are what connect us after all.
